Just 15 minutes by taxi from the airport, Kuta Beach is where the fun starts in Bali, and it’s where the best travel bargains are found. From its tourism beginnings as a hotspot for surfers, Kuta is still the preferred destination for those seeking Bali’s best waves.
Another ten minutes north, Seminyak is the high end sister of Kuta, with a concentration of deluxe accommodations and spas extending to Canggu and Petitenget. Seminyak’s chic bars and boutiques attract luxury tourists from around the world.
South of the airport is the peaceful five star resort area and fishing village of Jimbaran. Boasting the finest white beach in the area, it’s also famous for its fire-grill seafood restaurants right on the sand.

Taxis are the best way to get around Kuta and Seminyak. Bluebird and Bali Taxi are the most reliable and reputable, but beware of imitators.
Hire a car or van with a driver at a reasonable price for extended outings.
